In the Eye of the Storm
Responding Consciously Instead of Reacting
## When the Ground Beneath Your Feet Begins to Shake
Life often places before us things we feel unprepared for: a message that changes everything, a stranger yelling at you in the supermarket, an accident, a layoff, a rejection, a mishap— or something that cuts even deeper: the loss of a loved one, a diagnosis, a betrayal.
Sometimes it truly feels as if the ground is ripped out from under your feet.
And in those moments, it’s not what happens that defines you—
but how you respond to it.
Not with impulsive reaction, but with conscious response.
Because between stimulus and reaction lies a space—
and in that space, freedom can be born.
A freedom we must nurture daily, so it’s available to us precisely when life becomes unpredictable.
Nourishment for Body, Mind, and Soul
To act from that space—with clarity and centeredness—requires daily care on all levels.
On the Physical Level
This means nourishing yourself each day with food that is as fresh, pure, and alive as possible — and moving your body so it stays flexible, well-circulated, and strong. A tired, acidic, or undernourished body tends to react from survival mode — not from wisdom.
How we care for our physical body directly shapes our gut-brain coherence, which plays a crucial role in how we navigate life. Most decisions are first made in the gut — not the head. When your gut is in balance—when your microbiome, digestion, and nervous system are in harmony — it sends clear signals: from calm, not from crisis. A healthy gut is more than just a digestive organ — it’s the seat of your deep inner knowing and primal trust.
On the Emotional and Spiritual Level
Here, it’s about asking yourself: Do I let old wounds, fears, and habitual patterns dictate my actions? Or can I remain in the eye of the hurricane — calm, clear, connected to myself?
This is where heart-brain coherence comes in. When breath, heartbeat, and thoughts align, an inner space opens — a space where you can act not from fear, but from your center: grounded, thoughtful, and trusting.
This space doesn’t appear on its own. We must consciously create and tend to it — through breath, through pausing, through grounding, through reflection, and through the daily choice to honor ourselves.
Trusting — Despite Everything, or Perhaps Because of It?
I’ve experienced things that nearly shattered my trust in humanity. Almost five years ago, essential documents belonging to my husband and me were forged—and through this fraud, a piece of land that was meant to secure our family’s future was stolen from us.
Since then, we’ve lived in uncertainty. No institution, no legal system has truly supported us as victims of this crime. On the contrary — lawyers have profited from our suffering, despite clear evidence. It’s a deeply corrupt system.
The weight is heavy. And it has left deep marks — on our psyche, our daily life, our sense of safety, future and trust.
And yet—my nature leans toward trust. So I keep asking myself: Is this naivety, despite all I’ve been through? Or is it a gentle guidance — perhaps my guardian angel, or a wise part of my soul—reminding me: Stay open. Don’t give up on trust?
Sometimes the answer isn’t clear. But one thing I know for certain: My gut feeling is my truest compass — but only when I am centered.
And I find that center in my breath. In conscious movement. In nourishing, light-filled food. In intentional pauses. In letting go.
In the quiet space where heart and brain, gut and mind, begin to speak with one another again — where body, mind, and soul remember: You are whole. You are here. You are connected.
This keeps me sane. It keeps me in love. It keeps me in trust. It keeps me in the present moment.
And You?
Is there a situation in your life that weighs on you daily? That seems to offer no way out? That forced you to abandon your plans — and begin again?
Sometimes, all it takes is one conscious breath to remember: I am connected. I am here. I am allowed to let go. I am in trust.
A Gentle Companion for Turbulent Times
Perhaps you’re looking for a way to consciously create that space of stillness— not just mentally, but physically, too.
That’s why I create hand-sewn herbal eye masks: as a soft invitation to return to your center.
Each one is made with care — filled with organic millet hulls and a personalized blend of organic healing herbs, intuitively selected, based on what you need right now: calm, clarity, protection, comfort, strength, or healing.
The herbal aroma soothes your nervous system. The gentle darkness gives your eyes true rest. The light pressure calms your mind and helps regulate blood pressure. And as you breathe, a space opens—where heart, brain, and gut can once again communicate in coherence.
These are more than eye masks. They are small rituals of self-care— a way to say to yourself: I am taking some me-time. I am coming home to my center.
If you feel called, I’d be honored to create a herbal eye mask that resonates with your current journey. Because sometimes, in the middle of the storm, all you need is one quiet moment — dark, fragrant, still — to find your way back to yourself.
I always welcome your reflections, thoughts, feedback and sats 😉⚡️
